About Delaney
Delaney Parrish is a communications strategist with fifteen years experience leading digital and traditional media campaigns that promote research and ideas by academics, researchers, and policy experts.
Before turning to consulting full-time in 2019, Delaney led communications for the Economic Studies program at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. She specializes in translating dense academic work into both shareable digital content and materials that are targeted to the media.
Throughout her career, she has overseen the publication of hundreds of academic studies, often working directly with the researchers to create the best product possible. She has earned coverage of research and placed op-eds in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the Washington Post, Vox, the Atlantic, and dozens of other local, national, and international outlets.
Outside her communications consulting work, Delaney is an aspiring novelist. Her debut novel is represented by Aevitas Creative Management.
After 13 years in Washington, D.C., Delaney recently moved to Chicago, IL with her husband, her daughter, and her small white cat named Jon Snow.
